“Blurs” refers to any particularly blurry happenstance. Examples include standing up too fast, not quite understanding what someone says, falling asleep for a few seconds, losing phone reception, a mirror after a shower, when blue becomes purple, walking through a dark hallway, tripping, forgetting a name, the side of the road from a moving car, opening your eyes underwater, hummingbird’s wings, dreams, headlights entering fog, tears, déja vu, memories from childhood, and in this case, a short duet for metal percussion and tuba.
